Head Coach

John-John Leake

Alma Mater:  Southern Virginia University

Graduating Year:  2018

Coach Leake is super excited to be apart of the Real Salt Lake Academy family. Leake grew up in Peoria, AZ. He gained his passion for long-distance running in the 6th grade and has been running ever since. Leake ran NCAA D-III Cross Country and Track at Southern Virginia University  in the premier Capitol Athletic Conference.  He was a team captain for two years and was one of the scoring runners for many CAC Conference Championship and NCAA D-III S/SE Regional Championship races. He was also apart of the CAC All-Academic and the VaSID All-State Academic teams for multiple years. 

Leake was most recently the assistant cross country coach at Southern Virginia University during his 5th year of schooling. He worked closely with 16-time Montana Coach of the Year, Coach Clint May.  Coach Leake earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Virginia. He triple-majored in Biochemistry, Music, and Liberal Arts.

Alyson Whitworth

Alma Mater:  Currently a senior at BYU

Graduating Year:  

She grew up in Thousand Oaks, CA where her love for running began early on doing holiday 5k runs with her family. She competed in cross country and track throughout high school and was selected as team captain her senior year.  As a two year varsity runner, she helped pull her team in California state regional championships and competed four years at the prestigious Mt. SAC cross country invitational and Mt. SAC Relays. She is very excited to be part of the Real Salt Lake Academy Cross Country Team.
