KD Price

Special Education Director

KD grew up in the Salt Lake and is happy to call this beautiful valley home. Her childhood is full of fond memories of travelling throughout the West with family. That love of travel has continued across the United States and out of the country, and she considers herself a master vacation planner. Her favorite places are our amazing national parks. Whether canoeing deep into the backcountry of Yellowstone, or hiking to Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon, she is up for the adventure.

She completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in social science (behavioral science and health). She worked in special education for nine years as a paraprofessional and is grateful for everyone she got to work with and learn from. She loves connecting with each student and making sure they understand she will be one of their biggest advocates and cheerleaders. She enjoys the relationships that are made with families and teachers, as everyone works to help students achieve their highest potential. Setting goals, demonstrating integrity, developing resilience, and being kind to others are of utmost importance to her in and out of the classroom.

KD is passionate about running. You can bet she will be running every Saturday morning no matter the weather. She especially loves running down Big Cottonwood canyon in the summer. It is not running Boston marathons that KD’s proud of, instead it’s that she never gave up even though she experienced years of injuries, setbacks, and failures before finally qualifying to be there. She looks forward to running Boston again in April 2021! This fall begins her journey as an “empty nester” with her high school sweetheart. She is pleased that her children are working toward and achieving their dreams. She enjoys yard work, listening to loud music, collecting anything miniature, and spending time with nieces and nephews. She is a huge Mandalorian fan and is certain Baby Yoda makes everything better! She is thrilled to be invited to the RSLA team!
